Lyn Dickson

Lyn Dickson is a Level 2 dressage specialist coach, coach educator and FEI competitor. Located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Lyn has dedicated all of her life to her love of equestrian sport. Having “fallen in love with horses” at the age of 4, Lyn started in pony club, moved to eventing where she enjoyed some success for 10 years, and has for the past 18 years lived and breathed dressage.

Her team mate, Apptrak Toska, came to her 9 years ago for a week’s re-schooling and never left. This special partnership has gone from walk/trot to FEI during that time, and they now have their sights firmly set on Grand Prix.

During 2011, Para Equestrian rider, Nikki Doogue, campaigned Toska at Sydney, Tamworth and South East Queensland.  They achieved a spot on the Para Equestrian National A Squad, long listed for London Olympics.  Nikki went on to win Para Equestrian of the Year 2011 at the Equestrian Queensland awards night held in February 2012.  Toska is now home with me and is available for lessons!

A newcomer to the team is Trelawney Astra, a wonderful 7 year old warmblood mare bred by David and Alison Clift in Eumundi. Astra is competing Preliminary and Novice and has accumulated 17 points in her first season.

“I know all about the hard work and dedication it takes to be successful in any sport. In dressage, we need all the help we can get. I’m just so delighted to be able to help riders who want to learn how to produce the best from their horse and be successful at whatever level they choose.”
